Prizes and Awards

Submission deadline for entries is February 9, 2008.

• Student prizes will be awarded on or before June 1, 2008 as follows:
• One First Place Prize: $5,000
  • - Two Second Place Prizes $2,000 each
  • - Three Third Place Prizes: $1,000 each
• The instructor of the student winning first place will receive a $2,000 award.
• The winning student or team designates and the first place faculty member will have expenses paid for attending the ceremony provided by Dyson.
• Students accepting the prize must be available for full participation in the exhibit and for media appearances.
• Entries will be recognized for "Honorable Mention" if deemed appropriate, but this designation does not carry any prize money or travel.
• Winners will be notified by telephone the week of March 10, 2008. All other participants will receive official notification after March 22, 2008.
• Finalists will receive a certificate on or before June 1, 2008.
• Prizes are non-transferable; no prize substitutions allowed. All taxes on prizes are the winner's sole responsibility.
• IDSA and Dyson reserve the right to not give an award(s) if there are insufficient meritorious entries. If the jurors find a different arrangement of winners (i.e. one or no second place), then the prize money will be redistributed among the remaining winners.
